Fluorescence
Multiplexing

flourescence multiplexing 2.png

Hyperspectral microscopy can enable the detection and spectral mapping of a wide range of samples that produce fluorescence emission or photoluminescence. Individual or multiple fluorescent signals can be easily identified and mapped in a complex sample with the high spectral resolution of CytoViva’s technology.

Different illumination sources including standard halogen, laser or mercury excitation can be used with the system. In addition, these fluorescent samples can be illuminated with transmitted darkfield or standard reflectance techniques as required. Filters can be deployed to manage specific excitation requirements or to control the specific emission spectrum that are spectrally measured.

Examples of fluorescent nanoscale samples that can be imaged and analyzed with the system include Perovskite crystalline nanoparticles, rare-earth doped upconverting nanoparticles and quantum dots.  Also, the identification and mapping of nanomaterials in complex environments can be performed in samples such as certain drug chemistries producing fluorescent emission or standard fluorophores used to identify biological elements.
