John O. Lawrence 
Chief Operating Officer 

As Chief Operating Officer, John has led the internal operations and administrative functions of the company since its inception. One of John’s primary roles is overseeing the complex task of sourcing components, assembling, calibration and testing of CytoViva’s microscopy and hyperspectral imaging systems for world-wide distribution. The primary focus in this role is ensuring that CytoViva customers receive systems that operate effectively immediately upon arrival for installation at their research lab. This effort requires close coordination with CytoViva’s numerous worldwide supply chain vendors and CytoViva’s technical staff for each custom system configuration that is shipped.

John, also has responsibility for all finance, legal, HR and administrative functions at CytoViva. This includes cash flow management, payroll, tax and export regulatory oversight and many other day to day administration functions required to ensure smooth corporate operations.

Prior to CytoViva, John served in senior management roles in the telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries and in startup technology ventures. John received his bachelor of liberal studies from Millsaps College.
